Introduction

Pockly (“the App”) is a personal expense tracking application developed by Angaca Labs. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All your financial data is stored exclusively on your device using a local database. This includes:

• Expense records (amount, category, description, date)
• Budget configurations
• Recurring expense settings
• App preferences (name, theme, notification settings)

We do not have access to this data. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

Data Processed by Third-Party Services

AI Features (Pro Subscribers Only)

When you use AI-powered features (automatic categorization and spending insights), your expense descriptions and aggregated spending summaries are sent to Anthropic’s API (Claude) for processing. This data is:

• Transmitted securely via HTTPS
• Not stored by Anthropic beyond the duration of the API request
• Not used to train AI models
• Subject to Anthropic’s privacy policy: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy

No personally identifiable information (name, email, address) is sent to AI services.

Subscription Management

If you subscribe to Pockly Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through their respective in-app purchase systems. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives:

• An anonymous user identifier
• Subscription status and purchase history
• No financial data (credit card details are handled exclusively by Apple/Google)

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Contacts or calendar data
• Browsing history
• Financial account information (bank accounts, credit cards)
• Analytics or usage tracking data

Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, notification scheduling is handled entirely on your device. No data is sent to external servers for this feature.

Data Export

You can export your expense data as a CSV file at any time. This file is generated locally and shared through your device’s native sharing capabilities.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Deleting the app removes all your data permanently
• You can delete individual expenses within the app at any time
• No server-side data deletion is necessary as we store no data on servers

Children’s Privacy

Pockly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
